- Your medical or health care provider determines that your mental health or medical condition prevents you from beginning or continuing the term or from continuing a full-time course load.

- be in good standing with regard to the repayment of any NYS award or a student loan issued by a state or federal education loan program;
- be in full compliance with the terms and conditions of any previous NYS award’s service requirement; and sign a contract stating that they will reside in New York State during the award period and, if employed, remain in the state.

The application deadline is midnight on August 31, 2023.
- No one is eligible to apply if they attended college for the first time prior to or earlier (2019 or earlier if enrolled in an approved five-year program or Opportunity Program).
