Overview:

In 2020, the Government of Canada announced the Canadian CARICOM Skills Training for Green Economy Scholarships to improve the skill set needed to advance the sustainable development of CARICOM countries while strengthening linkages between post-secondary institutions in Canada and institutions in the region.

The initiative builds on the existing Skills to Access the Green Economy (SAGE) program and includes all CARICOM member states.

Scholarship value and duration:

The Canadian institution will receive funding from DFATD for all successful candidates (faculty or international liaison officers/managers) in the form of a contribution agreement and will be responsible for providing funding to scholarship recipients.

Scholarship values ​​vary depending on the length of stay in Canada:

CAD 3,200 for faculty members for two to three weeks of coursework or research as part of their professional development;
CAD 3,200 for international directors, managers, or administrators for two to three weeks of coursework or internship in internationalization or student mobility as part of their professional development; or
